- 1 tbsp cooking oil
- ¼ tsp caraway seeds(shahjeera)
- 2 cloves(lavanga)
- 2 cardamom seeds(elaichi)
- 1 inch cinnamon stick(dalchini chekka)
- 1 bay leaf(biryani leaf)
- ¼ tsp stone flower(biryani flower)
- 2 onions medium,chopped
- 2 green chili slit
- 1 sprig curry leaves
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- ½ tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tomatoes medium, chopped
- ½ tsp red chilli powder
- salt as needed
- 1 tbsp curd
- ½ tsp garam masala grounded
- 200 gm paneer freshly prepared, cubes
- freshly chopped coriander leaves
Heat the oil in a pan, add whole spices, and saute for 30 seconds. Keep the flame on the sim.
Add chopped onions, green chili, and curry leaves. Fry until the onions become golden. Keep the flame on the medium.
Add turmeric powder to the pan, and saute for 30 seconds.
Add ginger-garlic paste to the pan and saute until the raw smell goes.
Add chopped tomatoes with a quarter a teaspoon of salt and cook the tomatoes until mushy.
Add red chili powder to the pan and saute for a minute.
Add fresh curd to the pan and stir it.
Add garam masala powder to the pan and saute for a minute.
As you see oil released from the curry, add a half cup of water to the curry, add salt(as needed) stir it, and cook for 5 minutes.
Add paneer/ cottage cheese cubes to the curry and saute for a minute.
Add freshly chopped coriander leaves and turn off the stove.
